Derbyshire Libraries runs free library story and rhyme sessions for babies and children up to age 5. Families can start with the story and rhyme times listing to see local branches and timings.

The age band runs from birth to 5 years, and the listing includes branches such as Whaley Bridge, Tideswell, Swadlincote, Staveley, South Normanton, Shirebrook, Sandiacre, Ripley, New Mills and Newbold.

Weekday sessions appear across morning and afternoon slots, including 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, 14:00 and 14:15. That makes it easy to choose a nearby branch and fit a regular story session around the rest of the week.
