Last updated: 25 June 2026
FamilyPlans is operated in the UK and processes personal data under UK GDPR. This notice describes what we collect, why, and how to exercise your rights.
Who is the controller?
FamilyPlans is an independent UK web publication; legal entity details are available on request via privacy@familyplans.co.uk. For data protection enquiries, contact the same address.
What we collect and why

Analytics
We use Plausible, a cookie-light analytics service. Plausible uses an ephemeral hashed identifier that rotates daily; it does not set persistent cookies and does not identify you across visits or across sites.
We also send aggregate interaction events, such as dataset downloads, filter changes, result clicks, source clicks and booking clicks. These events do not include free-text messages, email addresses, child information or precise location beyond the page and filter context already visible in the interface.
Your rights
- Access — see what personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure — request deletion (newsletter unsubscribe is one click).
- Portability — receive an export of your data.
- Object — to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent — for processing based on consent.
Email privacy@familyplans.co.uk to exercise any of these rights. We respond within 30 days.
Cookies
FamilyPlans does not currently use cookies for tracking. If we add any cookies in the future, we'll add a consent banner and document them here.
International transfers
Some processors are located outside the UK. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses for any non-UK transfers. The full list of processors and their locations is held in our record of processing activities, available on request via privacy@familyplans.co.uk.
Complaints
You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
