North Lanarkshire Culture (Libraries NL)

North Lanarkshire Culture runs Bookbug Sessions for babies and pre-school children in libraries, with songs, rhymes and stories led by Bookbug Leaders. The offer also points families to Bookbug Online for videos.

The listings cover children from 0 months to 5 years, and some venues split into 0 to 18 months and 18 months to 5 years groups. Sessions run weekly in many libraries, with a few fortnightly slots in the timetable, so parents can match the age band and the day that works well.

Booking is library-specific, some sessions are now drop-in, and families should contact the library before the first visit. Babies are welcome to be fed however and whenever they need in all libraries, which makes the setting feel practical for parents with very young children.
