Razzamataz

Razzamataz Theatre Schools has been running performing arts classes for children since 2000, when founder Denise Gosney secured full investment on BBC's Dragons' Den and set the network on its way. The mission — captured in the tagline "Creating Confident Futures" — is rooted in the idea that dance, drama, and singing belong together, so every class combines all three rather than treating them as separate subjects.

Children can join from birth through to eighteen. Tiny Tots takes babies from zero to two, and the programme builds through Tots, Minis, Juniors, Inters, and Seniors, with the largest cohort at the Minis and Juniors stages. Every other week the dance slot becomes a commercial and street-dance session, and students who want to go further can take on Razz Project Intense as an optional extra. Some schools also offer Arts Awards — earning 35 UCAS points at Gold level — alongside the LAMDA-aligned Razzamataz Act qualification for those with an eye on drama at a higher level.

Performance is built into the calendar: each school puts on a summer showcase, and Razzamataz students have appeared on stages including the Indigo at the O2 Arena and Shaftesbury Theatre, as well as at Disneyland Paris. Parents are not admitted to regular classes — a deliberate policy that helps children build focus, independence, and confidence away from familiar faces.

Fees vary by school and can be spread across the term by direct debit. Any child can attend a free taster session with no obligation to sign up afterwards, which makes it straightforward to see whether it clicks before committing to a term.
