Perform Drama, Dance & Singing Classes

Yes. Every child is entitled to a free trial class at Brighton Road Baptist Church before any payment is required, with no obligation to continue afterwards.

Tuesday classes cover ages 4–12. The 4–7s session runs 4:00pm–5:00pm and the 7–12s session runs 5:05pm–6:05pm. Perform keeps a deliberately mixed age range within each band: younger children are stretched and stimulated by the group, while older children develop through the opportunity to influence activities and take on informal leadership.

Each hour-long class combines drama, dance and singing. The content shifts week to week within a termly theme — Mermaids & Pirates for 4–7s this summer, The Dream for 7–12s. Two Perform staff are present throughout, and the class is capped at 22 children.

You can sign up online, through Producer Amy, or by phone. Classes are booked in blocks of 10 consecutive sessions or 20, or you can renew to the end of term at a slightly higher rate per class. A monthly Direct Debit option is also available. New customers who join the Perform mailing list receive £30 off their first block of 10 classes. Perform does not offer refunds, but sessions cancelled with at least three days' notice generate credit that can be used against future Perform products. If your child restarts after a cancellation, a minimum of 10 consecutive classes must be purchased.

Perform does not publish a kit list for this venue. As a general guide for this kind of class, comfortable clothing that allows free movement is sensible; flat, non-slip shoes or bare feet tend to work well for the dance elements. Amy can confirm any specifics when you book.
