Baby Sensory Sutton Coldfield runs three Friday-morning sessions at St Peter's Church Hall on Maney Hill Road — 9:30 am, 11:00 am, and 12:30 pm — for ages from birth to 13 months. The hall has parking, buggy parking, baby-change facilities, public transport access, and wheelchair access. Classes run term time only. Sessions are £7.75 each, with a term block at £46.50. Each class is capped at 19 participants.

Local franchisee Tracy runs the Sutton Coldfield area under the national Baby Sensory programme. That programme was designed by Dr Lin Day, whose background spans nursing, special education, nursery management, and early childhood programme development — over 40 years across those fields — and who is a Senior Associate of the Royal Society of Medicine. Each session follows a detailed lesson plan built around a baby's natural play-rest-play cycle: creative play, tummy time, movement, visual activities, textures, scents, and music, with calmer periods woven in between.

The instruments have been measured for decibel level to ensure they are not too loud, and the visual display is arranged at the distance a young baby can actually focus on. Songs and rhymes — a mix of original music composed by Dr Lin Day and traditional pieces — run through every class to build early speech and language. Sensory signing gives babies a way to communicate before words arrive. Each session closes with sounds that mimic the womb, designed to settle babies at the end. Parents are welcome to feed or cuddle at any point during the session.

If your baby is under three months, the Hello Baby sub-programme offers three distinct elements: an observation strand to help you read your newborn's cues; a crying, colic, and comfort workshop; and a session on loving touch techniques including massage, reflexology, and yoga.
