Perform drama classes for 4-7s

Yes. Every child is entitled to a free trial class. Book through the Perform website by searching for the Richmond / Vineyard Life Church venue, or phone the office directly.

The 4–7s session runs Saturdays 11:15am–12:45pm and the 7–12s session runs 9:30am–11:00am. In the 4–7s group the mixed age range is intentional — younger children gain confidence from working alongside older ones, while older children develop early leadership habits. For the 7–12s, Perform says character and enthusiasm matter more than exact age or prior experience.

Classes are purchased in blocks of 10 or 20 sessions. You can also renew to the end of term at a slightly higher rate per class, or pay monthly by Direct Debit. Perform does not offer refunds, but you can cancel with three days' notice and carry the credit forward to other products. If you restart after a gap, a minimum of 10 consecutive classes must be purchased. A bursary scheme is available and childcare vouchers are accepted. New customers who join the mailing list receive £30 off their first block of 10 classes.

For the 4–7s, a session moves through three sections: physical warm-up games and coordination activities; songs, tongue-twisters and raps to build communication and confidence; and character, storytelling and role-play exercises to develop imagination and speaking skills. The 7–12s follow a parallel three-part structure with greater emphasis on acting technique, vocal projection and physicality, and movement progressing to more technical coordination work. The curriculum is rolling, so every week brings a fresh focus even for children who have been attending for some time.
