Baby Sensory

Baby Sensory at Pye Green Community Centre is run by Hannah Holland, who has operated the Walsall & Cannock franchise for nearly six years. Her mother assists with classes and is known locally as "Nanny Sensory" — a small detail that gives these sessions a noticeably warm feel. Across the franchise, Hannah runs eight classes a week at three venues in the Walsall and Cannock area. A six-week Summer Term is currently available to book.

Tuesday classes run in term time only, with three slots: 10:15am, 11:40am, or 1:00pm. Each session opens with a signature song, then moves through a structured lesson plan covering creative play, massage, tummy time, movement, visual development, textures, scents, and music. Sensory signing activities are included to help parents and babies communicate from birth. Sessions close with womb sounds to soothe babies as things wind down.

The session format reflects careful design: the sensory area is arranged to match the distance at which young babies can see clearly, and instrument decibel levels are measured to keep things comfortable for small ears. Behind every activity is a detailed lesson plan covering what your baby touches, sees, hears, smells, and feels. Parents are welcome to feed or cuddle their baby during the session. Everything — the songs, rhymes, massage, play ideas, and sensory signing — is designed to be repeated easily at home.
