Baby Sensory

Baby Sensory at The Wesley Centre For All is part of the Baby Sensory West Bromwich franchise, which holds classes across West Bromwich, Tipton and Wednesbury. Both Friday slots — 10:00 and 11:30 — are open to babies from birth to 13 months, so the full first year of development is covered.

Classes are led by Stephanie, who owns and runs Baby Sensory West Brom. Her Drama degree gives the sessions real energy: the singing, signing and movement feel genuinely engaged rather than mechanical. She also brings professional experience from the charity sector, where she led projects for children with special needs, and she is trained in paediatric and adult first aid.

Each session follows a detailed lesson plan covering what your baby touches, sees, hears, smells and feels. Activities move through visual development, textured materials, sensory signing, massage, tummy time, movement, and a mix of original and traditional songs and rhymes developed to support early speech and language. Every session opens with a signature song and closes with womb sounds to gently settle babies before you leave. The sensory space is arranged to match the distance at which young babies see most clearly, and instrument levels are kept within a comfortable range for small ears.

There is no pressure to keep to any particular pace. If your baby needs a feed or a cuddle in the middle of the session, that is entirely welcome. The activities are designed so you can return to them at home during the week.
