Perform Drama, Dance & Singing Classes

Yes — every child is entitled to a free trial class. You can book online, through the class Producer, or by phone.

Classes are purchased in blocks of 10 consecutive sessions or 20; you can also renew to the end of term at a slightly higher per-class rate, or pay monthly by Direct Debit. Because Perform runs a rolling curriculum, your child does not need to wait for a term to start — a space is all that is needed. If you need to cancel, three days' notice allows the credit to be carried over to your account for use on other Perform products; refunds are not offered. If your child misses a session, a make-up system allows attendance at another venue subject to availability, though missed sessions cannot be added on to the end of a block.

There are two separate groups. The 4–7s class runs 4pm–5pm; the 7–12s runs 5:05pm–6:05pm. In the younger group, mixed ages are intentional — older children gain informal leadership experience while younger ones are stretched by the group. In the older group, previous experience and character matter more than exact age.

Each class works through three distinct sections covering movement and dance, speech and singing, and acting or character work. The content is different every week within the term's theme. This summer the younger group are doing Mermaids & Pirates and the older group are working through The Dream. Across both groups the curriculum develops the same four skills: confidence, concentration, communication and coordination.

Yes. Three times a year, family and friends are invited to half-termly Open Workshops and end-of-term Presentations where children show what they have been working on. Holiday courses include mini-performances.

Perform accepts childcare vouchers and runs a bursary scheme — call the office to ask about either. New customers who join the mailing list receive £30 off their first block of 10 classes.
